Orientation Program for Principals of Nadia District on Integrated Payment System of CBSE

An Orientation Program for the Principals of Nadia District on CBSE Integrated Payment System (IPS) was conducted in Krishnagar Public School on 9^th December 2023. Principals of all the CBSE affiliated schools in the Nadia District along with one of their IT Personnel attended the program to learn about the nitty gritty of the mechanism introduced by CBSE for the management and disbursement of various payments to replace the slow and tedious manual process.

 

The session was conducted by Dr. Sankar Prasad Dutta, Principal, Krishnagar Public School and Lead Collaborator of Hubs of Learning, Nadia who explained the functionalities of the IPS System and its advantages to the Principals and also ran through the steps to be followed to successfully implement the process.

 

The mandatory session which in disguise presented an opportunity for a meet and greet for the heads of the various schools in the district began with Dr. Dutta, the host school Principal presenting flower bouquets to the participants to welcome them followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. Dr. Dutta addressed the gathering to wish his best to all the dignitaries as he began the session.

 

The session was graced by the presence of Dr. Akhilesh Kumar, Head CBSE COE, Bhubaneswar who was felicitated by Dr. Dutta with the traditional ‘uttariya’ and bouquet. As a special mark of reverence, Dr. Kumar was also presented with a painting by one of the students of the school. Dr. addressed the participants and harped on the importance of the IPS and how the implementation of the same will be beneficial for all including the individual functionaries, the schools as well as the Board.

 

The session turned out to be quite a fruitful one as Principals and IT personnels got a fist-hand orientation of the Integrated Payment System (IPS) which allows for automated calculations that eliminate the need for human intervention and realized how implementation of the same will simplify the process of transfer of honorarium and TA or DA directly to the intended recipient via software integration with bank payment gateways.
